GAC Aion Invited Zhonglin for Exchange of Views

Invited by GAC Aion, Zhonglin International Group paid a visit to its top-notch factory in Panyu District, Guangzhou on August 10, 2023 for business purpose and exchange of views. Through the path that President Xi took before, GAC Aion led Zhonglin’s delegation to its product, technology center and manufacturing shop.
GAC Aion, formerly known as GAC New Energy, is an automotive brand under Guangzhou Automotive Group. On July 28, 2017, GAC unveiled its official new-energy brand, with phase I investment of 4.697 billion yuan to build a factory capable of producing 200,000 vehicles per year. Shortly afterwards, GAC worked with its partners to invest over 45 billion yuan to forge the GAC Smart New Energy Vehicle Industrial Park. At the 2020 Guangzhou Auto Show, the GAC New Energy officially renamed its brand as GAC Aion.
On September 15, 2022, GAC Aion held a press conference to officially announced the new logo of the Aion. At the same time, Aian has also launched the new high-end brand, Hyper, and jointly established the "Hyper Research Lab" with China Aerospace, along with the debut of its very first supercar, Hyper SSR. In October, GAC Aion officially announced that the second smart manufacturing center of was completed and in full operation, with production capacity expected to exceed 400,000 vehicles per year.
During the visit, Aion showcased various self-developed new-energy battery technologies, including graphene super-fast charging technology, magazine battery (system safety technology), Xingling (GAC) architecture technology for electric vehicle, A480 super charging pile, as well as AICS intelligent chassis system.
Besides digging into technologies, Aion also mounted a challenge to capture the high-end market by developing the brand-new “Hyper” series of electric vehicles on its own, with the launching of Hyper SSR, a marvelous electric sports car.
After the factory tour, Zhonglin and Aion explored opportunities on business cooperation in the new energy field. By fully understanding Aion's research and development details in electric vehicle systems, Zhonglin exchanged its views with Aion and strived to land some future projects with it, so as to promote the development of the new-energy vehicle industry.
In addition to new energy vehicles, Zhonglin and Aion both agreed on the need to vigorously promote the construction of charging stations. With Guangzhou as the center, these stations should be rapidly built in surrounding cities such as Yangjiang, Zhanjiang, and Zhaoqing, to maximize the development of solar photovoltaic power generation and ensure that each and every station will be equipped with super-charging technology.
In the context of carbon neutrality, stations equipped with photovoltaic, energy storage and super-charging technologies are highly favored by local governments. Considering the fact that charging station does not cover a large area, Aion and Zhonglin believe that it should be built to meet the needs of a megawatt-level energy storage system and a 1000V charging voltage charging, which mainly consists of a photovoltaic system, an energy storage battery system, a new-energy vehicle charging platform, an online battery testing system, and a smart energy management cloud platform. Nowadays, charging too slow is what keeps people from buying electric cars. Imagine this, a super-charging station can refuel the juice in 7 to 8 minutes, which is about a 200km’s replenish to your car, plus a battery check. This will, for one hand, ease the “battery anxiety” of car owners and for another, the super-charging station can store some new-energy cars as “portable batteries” for providing temporary power supply service for those areas suffering from power failure.
